Happy Thanksgiving! The holiday season is here! What are you thankful for? Life may be going your way lately or you may feel like everything is going wrong. Regardless, try to think of someone in your life you are thankful for–someone who brings you joy. I am thankful for my wonderful roommates AND for all of you who make my job full of fun and laughter.

Hi Everyone. Sorry for the missed week of photo contests. I was with Ruthie, my Marketing Director, at PartnerCon (a photographers conference) in New Orleans. I had my first “beignet” (pronounced: Benyay for those non-French speakers) at Cafe Du Monde, took lots of pictures on Bourbon Street, and walked around the streets with my ‘open container’ of Bourbon and coke.  I met some pretty amazing photographers and was really inspired in a variety of ways to take my business to the next level.

Saturday night I shot Jimmy and Tracy’s wedding at Montaluce Winery. It was phenomenal-perfect weather, perfect venue, and immaculate planning and flow to the night. Thanks to my friend Shawn Reeder who second shot the wedding with me! Shawn is a destination wedding and lifestyle photographer out in Yosemite National Park.

I want to share an image from my San Francisco trip a few weeks (actually a month ago!). I love this image, probably one of my absolute favorites from the trip. I think I love it because of the story that it could tell, and maybe what it does tell for anyone looking at it. Really for me it incorporates two elements that I love, and in turn, love to photograph: People and structures. 

I don’t know this couple, they just happened to be in my way (heehee jk), but now I’m going to make up a story about them.. about their romance on the Embarcadero.. and pretend that I was shooting their engagement session as they cuddled in site of the Bay Bridge. They are a fabulous couple, they have great taste in sushi, beer, black hair dye, and light jackets. The end

Hope everyone had an amazing Halloween weekend. Loved some of the costumes I saw…was it just me or was Halloween a three day celebration this year?
